Forgiveness is a hard pill to swallow but if we are to be saved it must be done!

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1) And let me just say the scriptures even say if we have an ought against our brother or sister to leave your gift at the altar and go and be reconciled to your brother and THEN offer your gift! Some of us trying to offer the gift and then keep on shouting it want work until we get it right first!!!!

Many times the Lord wants to give you something but because our hearts and minds are closed we miss our blessings! In fact, we are our worst enemy! Not only does the enemy sabotage us but we sabotage our own self with doubt, fear, and condemnation! Especially, when we make mistakes in our Christian walk with the Lord! God not only wants us to forgive others but ourself; as well! For, if you cannot forgive your own self first then how can you forgive others! You see the cross of Christ is all about forgiveness and love. Loving yourself and others. Condemnation binds you and holds you in captivity and it refuses to let you off the hook for your own mistakes and others! Which is what true genuine building of relationships are all about! Unlike those in the world who every time they see you will bring up what you did to wash your face with it! Like their father the devil has taught them. The scriptures warns us if you don't forgive those who trespass against you neither will God forgive you! When we refuse to forgive we give others power and control over us and not only that you open your self up to other demonic spirits; as well! Such as the root of bitterness which spreads it self throughout your family, community, church and the body of Christ!

I have found that when we don't forgive others we lower ourselves to their standards and find ourselves repeating the mistakes of those who we hate even though we don't mean to; especially children who have been wounded and hurt through abuse, and neglect! Now, does that mean you have to go out to dinner etc., with those who have wounded you? No, but what it does mean is that you let go of the hurt and bitterness and begin to ask God to heal your broken heart! And the next time you see this person the churning in your stomach will have dissipated and when people mention there name you feel at peace! How do I know well by my own experiences! I had so much pain by family I had to literally go to God for healing and he broke the hurt and pain I had for those that had hurt me over years of pain! As I cried out and told him what had happened I begin to speak in tongues and sing in tongues as a warm feeling came over me as though someone poured oil over me! I felt a warm feeling in my stomach; as Gods hand touched my heart! It was then I called those that had hurt me to say I love you! As I released them and forgave them God healed my hurt and pain! Satan wants to keep us in captivity so that he can keep us bound from generation to generation spreading the root of bitterness and unforgiveness!
